Yoga

Yoga is a perfect way of life / art of living.

It has power to make you healthy up to a supremacy / vitality.

It involves body and mind both.

Supremacy means total control of mind and body. What you like, you can achieve.

To achieve supremacy there are various ways, but best and systematic way is described in following 4 steps.

Mind is most powerful, it can control every organ / function of the body". To achieve mind control purity of mind is important. Purity of mind is purity of thought and subsequently action. If your understanding is incorrect i.e. your thought is incorrect and definitely your action will be incorrect. This process will produce unwanted disturbances, indecipline, and lack of control of body functions and so on. Therefore controlling mind is very important. The process of control is:

 

1- Yoga of knowledge:

  • First process of controlling mind by acquiring true knowledge of life. Why? And What? of our existence.
  • 2- Yoga of Action:

  • Second process of controlling mind by removing thought of differences, hate, anger in life. There is nothing to dislike, because every thing is fact itself. For every body performance of duty is most important. Think, Why? and decide positive way, What to do?
  • 3- Yoga of pasture:

  • Third process of controlling mind by purifying body and controlling its demand like hunger, sex, taste etc.
  • 4- Supreme Yoga:

     To achieve Yogic power, following are very important.

    Yoga Posture

    Surya Namaskars

    Well Come To First, Easy & Most Effective Yoga Posture.

    This is a best series of yoga postures. This is my first lesson on yoga for health.

    Before you start this please read page yoga.

    Lets start with most useful and easy yoga exercise / posture i.e. Surya (Sun) Namashkar (Prayer).

    For best result these are to be perform in early morning during sun rise after bath in open air pool and facing towards Sun. There shall be minimum clothe on body i.e. a short for man and cotton swimming suit for women, remember that naval portion shall be exposed. The exercise shall be continues in series with smooth transitions. Try to achieve full extent bends with perfect coordination. Total cycle of 12 position to be performed with in half minutes. Try 5-10 cycles daily morning (for best benefits) and evening.

    The benefits are tremendous if perform regularly, gives vitality, suppleness to the spline, toning of whole body and perfect health.

    Do the exercise in the beginning to the maximum possible extent of your body. Slowly you will achieve perfection after 15-20 days. Excessive strain will result into muscle pain and you may start disliking.

    Posture-2 (Fig No-2): From posture-1 raise the arms smoothly high and back and inhale. Palms facing front. Throw head back, bending the spine back from the waist.

     Posture-3 (Fig. No-3): From posture-2, exhale, bend forward from the waist and touch the hands to the floor beside the feet, the longest fingers in line with the toes. Places the palms of the hands flat on the floor and keeps knees locked and lowers the face against knees. Do to the maximum extent you can, slowly you can achieve perfection.

    Posture-4 (Fig. No-4). From posture-3 Inhale, stretch the right leg back and go down on the right knee, at the same time lifting the head up. The hands and the left foot stay in position. The toes of the right foot are bent to grip the floor.

     Posture-5 (Fig. No-5):. From posture-4, retaining the breath, straighten the right leg and take the left leg back alongside the right, supporting the body on the hands and toes. From the back of the head to the heels should be a straight line.

    Posture-7 (Fig. No-7): From posture-6, Inhaling, straighten the arms and raise the upper body up and back, keeping the pelvis and legs on the ground.

    Posture-8 (Fig. No-8): From posture-7, Exhale, move the hips high and swing the head down between the straight arms. Feet are flat on the floor. The back. From shoulders to hips should be as straight as possible. Pull the abdomen back towards the spine.

    Posture-10 (Fig- No-10): From posture-9, Exhale, assume Posture-3 again by bringing the left foot forward beside the right foot, raising the hips, and straightening the legs.

     Posture-11 (Fig. No-11). From posture-10. Straighten up from the waist and swing the arms high and back, Inhaling. This is a repeat of Posture-2.

    Posture-12 (Fig. No-12). From posture-11, exhale, lower the arms to the sides and stand up straight (Back to posture-1).
